Welcome to the new Media Center. We have expanded the scope of this facility to accommodate our students, faculty and other patrons who need to use computer-based applications in their respective learning, teaching and research activities. We are accommodating the ever increasing need for access to the proliferating body of dynamic information that is now available almost exclusively through, web-based applications, CD-ROM, DVD and other digital media. The new Media Center is currently the only student computing facility in the Undergraduate Library. The Center will continue to offer its traditional audio/visual services and hold the library’s collection of non-print materials including 16mm films, videotapes, audiotapes, phonograph records, slides, and filmstrips.
Facilities Access Policies A valid Howard University ID card must be presented to use the collection and equipment. Materials on reserve for courses must be used on site. Selected audio-visual material and equipment may be checked out by faculty and staff who visit the center, possess a valid university ID card, and agree to accept full responsibility for all items borrowed. If the borrowed equipment/materials are damaged or malfunction while in use, the borrower must contact the Center immediately.
Special Services The Media Center is located on Sub-Level 1 of the Undergraduate Library, adjacent to The Founders Library, Main Campus. See > Map.
